SEA | METRY (70x105 Ltd. Edition).

BALEARIC SEA. MALLORCA. SPAIN. JUNE 2017.

… after  quite a few kilometers of winding roads through a beautiful, rugged, windswept landscape you reach the most northern point of the balearic island of mallorca: cap de formentor or as the locals call it: the meeting point of the winds.

here the sea forms fascinating geometrical patterns due to different wind forces - such as the ‘four great brothers’ tramontana, ponente, migjornand levant - coming from different directions, bringing either heat, cold, rain or simply wind. the sea turns into an ever changing canvas, always with similar recurring structures and movements, but never looking exactly the same.

I have chosen a WHITE CUSTOM-BUILT WOODEN floater frame to beAutifully STAGE this picture. it is printed on high-quality fine art paper (KOH-I-NOOR, 300G/M2) and mounted on a 3mm aluminium dibond backing. It is matt sealed and the frame is equipped with hanging hardware, making it ready to put on the wall straightaway.

THIS EDITION IS COMPRISED OF A LIMITED NUMBER OF 5 PIECES, EACH ONE BEING NUMBERED, SIGNED AND ACCOMPANIED BY A LITTLE STORYBOOK.
